Losmandy style dovetail plate for large refractors for mounting the OTA securely on an EQ mount. Bolt your tube rings directly to this plate to eliminate flex which translates to pointing error. Excess metal is machined away without compromising on rigidity or strength (approx. 20-30% weight reduction). Recommmended if you're near the imaging limit of your equatorial mount which is usually about 70% of the manufacturers stated visual limit.
